Rebuilding the Idol

I forgot to embed this video in here. It's a video I used to find the path of the camera before I did the individual photos.

I haven't been working on the film lately. College is back in full force, and I'm having trouble finding time to dedicate to my various projects. The last thing I did was rebuild the idol for a scene in the credits. I added more in-game-accurate walls around the idol to frame it in the shots. I also plan on redoing scenes that feature the old idol. This might set me back two weeks, depending on college work and how lazy I might be...

I'm doing additioal scnes for under the credits. It will be like the credits of the game, with the text behind scenes of the ruined colossi, plus shots of points of interest (the bridge, temple, exc.). Here's some still pics from the credits, and some behind the scenes looks.

On Vacation!

I worked all week up until today, and it was quite a cram! I'll be leaving for vacation for two weeks, and won't have the film done before the end of Summer like I planned. I decided to do more filming of extra scenes, and redo some too. The extra scenes are for during the credits, to make it look more like the game's ending credits with the dilapidated colossi.

I also remade the shadow people.

And built the bridge.

First showing!

I showed both my sister and my mom the movie in its current state. I don't know what caused it, but I felt more critical about it while they were watching it. I felt compelled to comment on all the parts I needed to fix or was planning to redo. All in all, besides being obligated to like it, they both were impressed.

I feel that two and a half long credits is a bit too obsessive for a five+ minute film. I might end up not using two pieces of music for it.

I hope everybody likes it, I put so much work into it, it's been a year now, too.

Slow Progress

I've been making slow progress on the movie. I hope I can get it done by the end of Summer. I think I'm going to cut the spider Colossus I showed in the Deleted scenes video. I can't seem to get a good scene from it. The thing is so tall and flimsy, and the angle I want to shoot it from needs to have sky, and I don't like the look of picture frames in the background. I need to scout some better locations.

Other than that, I've been working on the first colossus (bull), getting some climbimg and "kill scenes." Trying to get some vast, panaramic scenes with Wander riding Agro. Just give the same sence you get from exploring the land in the game.

That's about it, I haven't done any edditing for a while either, so far it's 5 minutes +, andI'm trying to do more scenes to stretch it over the song files. I think this will be one of the biggest things I've ever set forth to do. I hope you like it as mutch as I do. I feel it's so mutch better quality than SotB 1, looking back.

New scenes done.

It's been a while since I updated this blog, but that's okay, because I doubt anyone reads this. But I have been behind schedule due to my other projects, but SotB2 is a priority, and hopefully will be done before Aug est.

I still need to do a scene with a colossus that, so far, I've discarded all the footage of. I couldn't get the camera right on it. If you go to the fan art page of my Myspace account, you'll see that it's the spider colossus. The footage will be in a making of documentary. I want to do a DVD with other unused footage too.

Summer Production Resumes

I started production on the second film again, now that I'm done with this semester of college. One scene has been filmed, yet not completed. I'll update the blog more often too.
