New Scenes

Making the save altar.

I shine a light through the altar to simulate the effect of the altar. Taping a piece of paper behind the altar limits where the light shines through.

The save altar will be seen during the credits.

In this scene, Wander and Agro have crossed the bridge and are outside the temple. It’s a short scene, but it took a whole day to prepare the set. First I did a little research, and watched the intro of the game on Youtube to see what the entrance to the temple looked like.

Then I took some pieces from the save altar and constructed the entrance. This is close to being the largest Lego built set piece created for the movie so far.

I put the entrance set piece onto of a box and surrounded it with a blanket to simulate the mountain.

I took a reference movie to find the path of the camera.

Then took some pictures to find the right lighting. I relocated to my parent’s bedroom for natural lighting (I only have one window in my room to the two windows in their room).

The Lego made bridge is added later.

The scene is finished and added to the movie. The path I had in the test video was changed, however, and comprised of two scenes at the end: Agro and Wander make it to the door. Now, at the entrance, Agro is hesitant, but Wander urges him on. This leads to the previously completed scene where the door opens.

New scene added, "Canopy"

This is the ramp I used in the scene when Wander rides Agro down to the Alter of Time. I reused the pieces to make the ramp for the scene when Wander swims to the third Colossus.


Yeah, I know, looks crappy, but you couldn't really see it, so it didn't matter to me... The third colossus won't be in the movie, but I always liked the climb to the canopy.

Progress made tonight!

Three sense added just a few minutes ago. I'm very pleased I found time to work on the film tonight, that's about six more second there too!

Progress has been slow on the movie. I have reluctantly devotimg all my time to my classes in college, and have little to no time to do anything otherwisr. I hope I can find the time to finninsh the film, but can easily say it will not be released soon, as I have lead you all to believe. Hopfully I can make more progress over Spring Break.

Building the Colossus
