A little bit left to go!

I'm currently re-tooling all of the sound throughout the film. I have a few more VERY SHORT scenes to go till I'm satisfied with the timing and the flow of the movie. I'm excited about finally releasing it, but at the same time I'm getting more and more nervous every time I get closer to the films completion. I look at finished scenes and debate with my self over rather or not a scene is perfect, or if I should just scrap it and re-do it, pushing the film further back in development. It's kind of depressing me that the film I eventually release might not be as good as people or I myself have been anticipating, so it makes me want to work on it longer, all the while wanting to get it over with at the same time. It's driving me mad!

It's so hard having to take three days off to build a set and then put off filming for a few days while I plan the scene out, and then when I've mustered enough determination to finally film the set has been moved around so much that it's broken to pieces and have to rebuild it again! I may never work with LEGOS again!! It's so frustrating.

Back to work!

I took four days off over the weekend from working on the film to finish off inFAMOUS for the PS3. It was a fun game, I forgot how awesome Sucker Punch games is. I guess it's because I never played the two sequels Sly Cooper got. Now it's back to work, and today I re-rendered (I think that's what it's called) several scenes for better quality. What this essentially means is that when I saved the pictures as a video file, I chose "High Quality" thinking it was the best setting, but in all sucks compared to what it saves it as by default, which is the "Best settings for my computer" one. So I re... downloaded (?) several scenes to make them look better. The edges of the characters in the videos are all jagged now though, for some reason. Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong here? I want this film to have the best quality I can get... without spending money for a real editing program :P Just let me know... that anyone actually reads this...

Summer Progress!

I haven't updated on this blog for a while, that's because I've been working on SotB2 nonstop all summer so far. I got off in March and have been filming and editing scenes since, and am now 96% done. Wow, looking back at the earliest footage, I now realise that I've been working on this film on-and-off since 2006, that's THREE YEARS!! WOW again. The film has almost broken 6 minutes, and I'm still trying to do more scenes to fill in for the music. I really hope allot of people see this film to make it all worth it, I really do. I might never work on a LEGO animation film again, because it's so stressful! Making all the models, trying to keep them together between scenes, running out of a particular color brick, and having to take a set piece apart to build a new one, only to decide that I want to do over a scene using the piece I took apart! Holy crap! I don't think I could do this again! Well, I'm done with the colossus parts, and am trying to flesh out the intro, which, unlike most of the colossi, is more like the game. I'll try to update again before the films is done. Thanks to all who read this, please leave feedback on here or the YouTube channel, thanks.
